Welcome to the website of the North Kent Branch of the Embroiderer’s Guild.

I hope you find it useful in your journey through the wonderful world of embroidery. We try to keep our site as up to date as possible and if you know of any exhibitions/workshops that we do not have listed please feel free to email us with details.

One aspect of our site is our members’ gallery. I am sure you will agree with me that it provides not just a wonderful selection of embroidery but is also a tribute to the hard work carried out by those members.

Before you say “Oh I could not possibly do anything as good as that” please remember that our members were not born with a needle and thread in their hand. The works exhibited are the result of a love of their craft and much practice. In fact the hardest thing an embroiderer has to learn is simply how to thread that needle!

So it is now up to you. If you have been inspired by what you see, why not come and meet with us at our venue - St Andrew’s Art Centre, Royal Pier Road, Gravesend, Kent DA12 2BE. The dates of our meetings are listed on under 'Future Meetings' along with the activities taking place.

Perhaps you have a piece of work you feel you cannot progress or have been given or bought a kit as a gift and don’t know how to begin, please come and see us, we will be only to happy to help.
