Sea using Markel Oil paint sticks This picture is the result of the Hands on afternoon we had with Coral Singleton. it is on Calico and I made a stencil for the posts and then used Markel Oil paint sticks for them and the sea and sky. I am very pleased with the way the picture has turned out.

This is a book that I made followign the same afternoon and using the same technique - calico and Markel Oil paint sticks. Again I am pleased with my book and I will certainly be experimenting more with calico and Markel Oil paint sticks

This beaded fish is the result of a Day School with Ann Mockford. It was hard work but extremely enjoyable.

Close up of the beaded fishThis is a close up of the fish without the tail. I didn't manage to finish the fish at the Day School - but I worked on it when I got home!

Hand made felt picture This piece of work was inspired by a piece I saw at the Knitting and Stitching Show at AlexandraPalace. The background is felt that I made, and the colours were deliberately introduced into the felt as I made it so that I did not have to embroider a background.

Close up of the hand made felt pictureAnother close upThese two pictures are of close ups of the picture showing various stitches that I used, plus other bits and bobs!

Beaded bag
Beaded Bag. After becoming addicted to making small beaded amulet purses, something larger seemed to be called for!

Willow Tea Cosy
Willow pattern Tea Cosy. A really old piece of linen, it will probably last forever. The traditional willow pattern worked in as many different shades of blue that could be found.

'J' - Casalguidi Technique
'J'. Casalguidi technique - an ancient Italian form of Whitework, using interesting stitches.

Christmas Rose
Christmas Rose. I learnt this at a stumpwork day school. After several attempts I am pleased with the result.

Amulet Purse
Amulet Purse. I first learnt to make this lovely purse with Sue Dane at a day school. This started my addiction for beadwork!

Shell Beach
Shell Beach was inspired by shells bought at a craft fair. They are French, from the Eocene Period when mammals were just evolving! The design grew by itself as it progressed.

Crewelwork
Crewelwork. These are centuries-old designs and techniques. The modern colours that I used make all the difference.
