| This picture is the result of the Hands on afternoon we had with Coral
Singleton. it is on Calico and I made a stencil for the posts and then
used Markel Oil paint sticks for them and the sea and sky. I am very
pleased with the way the picture has turned out. |
 |
This is a book that I made following the same afternoon and using the
same technique - calico and Markel Oil paint sticks. Again I am pleased
with my book and I will certainly be experimenting more with calico
and Markel Oil paint sticks

This beaded fish is the result of a Day School with Ann Mockford. It
was hard work but extremely enjoyable. This
is a close up of the fish without the tail. I didn't manage to finish
the fish at the Day School - but I worked on it when I got home! |
 |
| Amulet Purse. I first learnt to make this lovely purse with Sue Dane
at a day school. This started my addiction for beadwork! |
 |
Beaded Bag. After becoming addicted to making small beaded amulet purses,
something larger seemed to be called for!

 |
Willow pattern Tea Cosy. A really old piece of linen, it will probably
last forever. The traditional willow pattern worked in as many different
shades of blue that could be found.
|
 |
| 'J'. Casalguidi technique - an ancient Italian form of Whitework, using
interesting stitches. |
 |
Christmas Rose. I learnt this at a stumpwork day school. After several
attempts I am pleased with the result. |
 |
| Shell Beach was inspired by shells bought at a craft fair. They are
French, from the Eocene Period when mammals were just evolving! The
design grew by itself as it progressed. |
 |
| Crewelwork. These are centuries-old designs and techniques. The modern
colours that I used make all the difference. |
